Based in downtown Toronto, Rich Rotstein is seeking an oustanding individual to join our expanding litigation accounting practice.
Responsibilities Include:
Preparation of economic loss reports: including loss of income assessments; loss of dependency claims, wrongful dismissal claims, future cost of care calculations, and pension valuations.
Written assessments will focus on assessing income forgone and out of pocket costs due to disability or death utilizing our research resources and reporting methodology. You will assist in the development of leading edge approaches to calculating damages in personal injury and wrongful death cases and making key decisions regarding the analysis to be used in reports.
Qualifications:
- CA or CGA plus an undergraduate degree, or
- MBA or B.Sc. (Hons.) (Mathematics or Statistics), or
- Master of Arts (Economics), Ph.D. (Economics) or Associate of the Society of Actuaries or Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries, plus
- Experience with pension plans, employee benefits, and salary surveys,
- Excellent computer skills, and
- Strong writing skills combined with an ability to meet tight deadlines.
